A vessel from the Navy stops in Gothenburg - 26 to 29 May 2011 [ fr ] [ sv ]

The Flamant was built in the shipyard of Cherbourg (Normandy).

Its base port is Cherbourg.

 

Its main mission is to patrol in the French exclusive economic zone, upp to 200 nautical from the coasts of France. This mission is essentially policing fishing. In addition to fisheries patrols or maritime approaches, the Flamant can also accomplish fighting pollution missions, and salvage operations.
